Showkeep organises your collection. The films, artwork and catalogue information belong to the people and organisations that created them.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Film metadata and artwork references are provided by TMDB.

Metadata provider

Showkeep uses TMDB to find films and retrieve information such as titles, release years, runtimes, credits, genres and artwork references. Metadata reaches the app through the Showkeep gateway. Poster and backdrop files download directly from TMDB’s artwork service and are cached locally on the user’s device.

TMDB is operated independently from Showkeep. Showkeep is not endorsed, certified or sponsored by TMDB or its operator. Use of TMDB is also subject to its terms and privacy policy.

Artwork provider

TMDB supplies artwork references used by the app. Poster and backdrop files download directly from TMDB’s artwork service and are cached locally on the user’s device.

The promotional spines on the Showkeep website use locally cached poster files originally retrieved through TheTVDB before Showkeep’s TMDB migration. Their sources remain recorded by Showkeep. Attribution does not transfer or create ownership of that artwork.

Format and certification marks

The Blu-ray Disc and Ultra HD Blu-ray logos are associated with the Blu-ray Disc Association. The DVD-Video logo is associated with the DVD Format/Logo Licensing Corporation. Showkeep uses these marks solely to identify physical media formats. Their appearance does not imply an affiliation with, certification by or endorsement from either organisation.

The website uses local copies of the Blu-ray Disc, Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD-Video vector files published through Wikimedia Commons. Each source page identifies its file as a public-domain text logo and notes that trademark restrictions may still apply.

The BBFC classification category symbols are copyright and registered trademarks of the British Board of Film Classification. Showkeep uses the official U, PG, 12, 15 and 18 artwork only beside films carrying the corresponding classification. The symbols were sourced from the BBFC’s packaged-media guidance. Their appearance does not imply an affiliation with or endorsement by the BBFC.

Third-party trademarks

Film titles, studio names, logos and other marks remain the property of their respective rights holders. Their appearance identifies catalogue records and does not imply affiliation with or endorsement of Showkeep.

Showkeep-owned design and software

The Showkeep name, original interface, website design and software are Showkeep-owned material unless stated otherwise. Film artwork, metadata, format marks and third-party trademarks are excluded from that description.

Corrections and removal requests

If catalogue information is missing or incorrect, please contribute the correction on TMDB so it can benefit every service using the same source.

If you hold rights to material displayed on the Showkeep website and want its locally hosted copy removed, email hey@showkeep.app. Identify the film, the material and the basis of your request so it can be reviewed promptly.
